A step by step guide to the Spotcheck service

Shopping at Pharmacy

Step 1:Visit a participating pharmacy

Visit a pharmacy that offers Spotcheck. We are continually expanding to more locations to make this service accessible. You can find your local pharmacy or request the service via the link below. 

Step 2: Spot assessment & photography

At your local pharmacy, the trained team will collect your personal details, contact information for report distribution and obtain your consent, as required by Australian Medical Privacy Laws, to securely send your information.

Step 3: Take two images of your suspicious spot

The pharmacist will take two images: a general photo to identify the area the spot is present, and a specialised image using a dermatoscopic device for detailed  assessment.

Step 4: Secure doctor review & report

Your details and images are securely sent to our doctor via our Spotcheck platform for review. The spot will be assessed within 48 hours and a detailed report will be sent directly to your email. Your information is securely handled at every step.

Step 5: Review your report and next steps

Your detailed Spotcheck report will outline a clinical diagnosis and clearly indicate if further action is required. This may include referral to a specialist for assessment or removal, guidance on appropriate treatment products, or confirmation that no medical intervention is necessary at this time.
